Birmingham

In November 2021, Placemaking Collective UK visited Birmingham. The pictures speak to themselves, a great walking tour offered a peak into the vibrant and diverse local life.

The rich industrial heritage mixed with modern architecture sets Birmingham’s urban scene. An exciting mix of creativity and cultural diversity makes the city’s streets vibrant. Beyond the hustle and bustle of the city centre, Birmingham boasts numerous green spaces where residents and visitors can relax and enjoy nature.

The city's vibrant street art scene adds a splash of colour and creativity to its urban landscape. Digbeth, in particular, is renowned for its graffiti and murals, attracting artists and art enthusiasts alike. The Custard Factory, a creative hub in Digbeth, houses numerous independent galleries, studios, and shops, contributing to Birmingham's reputation as a thriving centre for the arts.

The city's constant reinvention and cultural dynamism make it an appealing destination for those seeking a truly immersive urban experience.
